3 friends, Ryan, Tan and Keon, were chatting in a pub. You know those classic pub conversations where you get in-depth into all the hypothetical scenarios?

What if you were sent back in time and had to survive in the past, but had all your present-day knowledge? Would you have an advantage in society or would you be screwed because you don’t know the intricacies of the era? You don’t know the language or the customs. Where would be the ideal place and time to go back to that would maximise your chance of success?

Well, realistically it would be about 10 or 15 years ago and you’d just make some shrewd investments in BitCoin and Facebook.

But that’s no fun! You’ve got to go further back.

The language barrier? Let’s skip over that!

The next day Ryan was experimenting with the new-fangled AI models like ChatGPT and decided to test this pub-chat-hypothesis. Could you create a choose-your-own-adventure game that is powered by AI? Tan said we should do a podcast. Keon said what is AI? And the rest is history.

PastMaster is a time-travelling, history-bending, role-playing podcast hosted by Ryan Mulchrone, Tan Parsons and Keon Dadgostar.
